Citizenship/Academic/Athletic Awards
GYSF has always placed emphasis on both the student and the athlete of our young student/athletes.  At the end of the season, awards will be presented to the players.  Because the school cannot release information about your child's grades, we need to rely on the parents to know who qualifies for our academic/athletic awards.

The criteria for academic/athletic awards is as follows: 1.  Must be in good standing with the school for the entire season.  Any student who has been suspended or expelled is not eligible for an academic/athletic award.  2.  4th grade and higher students should be averaging a B(2) for the current semester.  3rd grade & below doesn't assign grades, those students must meet standards of their parent/guardian.

Concessions/Field Management/Volunteering
We would like to stress the importance of family involvement to help with concessions, field cleanup, scoreboard and sideline chains.  As we don't require Mandatory volunteering, we would greatly appreciate each family volunteer for at least ONE shift from the options named above.  GYSF is run entirely by volunteers and in order to make the season a success, volunteers will be needed throughout the season.  This is a great opportunity for siblings to get volunteer credits for school/church.

Cleanliness of the field is HUGE and we ask after every game that you help to clean up above and below the bleachers.  Volunteers for sideline chains must at least be in High School and act as a neutral party throughout the game with no coaching on the sidelines.  Thank you for supporting Gretna Football!

Team Pictures
Close to My Heart Photography  will be available for Team Pictures along with individual packages the middle of August during practice times.  These dates/times are still to be determined.  Show your support for your son/daughter by ordering a button to wear to every game!  10% of all sales goes to GYSF.  Thank you Jen!
